Todd M Davidson - Alone

Todd M Davidson - Alone

I travel this path with all of my might. br By myself, I wont fear the night. br Come morning light I hope to see, br a joy of the day that pleases me. br br I keep my life meager, this I do know. br I hold close no one, for I am alone. br Though to the passers, I do say hello. br Yet, that is as far as I'm able to go. br br Some may not handle this life that I lead, br but I stand alone, even when I bleed. br Many have partners, that's what they do need. br My lost lover is only a dream. br br I have a brother, a keeper of thoughts. br We grew up together, we learned to have not. br I was part of a family, though we had faught. br I do not miss them, I do not a lot. br br In my memories, found will be pain. br Though I don't remember who was to blame. br I now have no need for profit and gain. br I'd rather be watching than joining the game. br br I have a secret, you might be surprised, br but some days I'm tired and just want to die. br Upon my last page, a day I shall die, br who will come see me, how many will cry. br br My brother says stop, you should not be ashamed. br But I will not hear him, I may not regain. br I am a rock, some days it's the pain. br I wish I could go back and do them again. br br If I portray this pain on another, br it just is not right, I wish them to recover. br To put upon myself, why is it fine, br when it's unfair to others, they aren't devine.
