The other day br My newborn son br Tried to tell me about oblivion. br br An experience that was fresh in his mind br He having only recently arrived in the world. br br He waved his arms br And crooned at me br Arching his back br And stretching his neck br Staring at me with an intensity br Out of all proportion to his size. br br Well he may know about oblivion, br But he doesn't know much about language br And by the time he finds out about the one br He will have forgotten about other. br br When the time comes br I will just have to go and find out about oblivion for myself. br But I love him for the effort he made br To tell me.
