Areena Arora - Lost Childhood

Areena Arora - Lost Childhood

I lost my childhood somewhere br somewhere amidst dust and sweat. br Long back dating the day I first saw the world br tears flowed from the eyes of those who gave me birth. br Poverty crib-bled and killed them to death br they left behind, a life full of sorrows and pains br for me and for six more sorrowful souls on earth. br br Neither did I ever complain br nor did my fellow mates br for what to cry about br we never knew br so many sorrows in life and choose one br we never had time br br We were born to serve those who moved with flashy goods, br I wonder why pains and sufferings were fated for us. br br Days were spent working for night's meal br while nights went praying for a dawn ahead. br br Binding and sticking together pages they call books br I always wished I could know what magic laid in it br but i guess my childhood was destined to suffer br br I cried, i howled br but my prayer remained unanswered br br My house, my home br Changed each day, each night br from one street to another br we were forced to migrate br br we by now have faced br what we were destined to br and all we now wait for br is a ray of hope, a light br a little sunshine br for others of our kind br should not face what we did br for only we know how difficult were br those times...........
