Khirod Dalpati - CROSS ROADS

Khirod Dalpati - CROSS ROADS

Standing by the Cross Road br Thinking on which to tread, br And choosing at last br That was quite easy to take. br Yet, never cared of the path br Of which I just walked by. br br Was it a thron that pricked br To remind me of my wrong track br A pabble standing by my way br Trying to stop me and say, br Or a sign board directing me br Son, this is not your way, br Did I heed the bird's voice br Reminding me of the dangers ahead. br br I thought, I was a big short br Could play a perfect game, br I pulled out the thron br Threw it far away, br Gave a kick to the little pabble br Told it to be out of my way; br Threw a stone at the little bird br Still, the act of a child I had, br Scrapped the sign board br The words written faded away. br br I the soal hero of my life br Filled withbeauty and pride, br Thought the nature itself was foolish br To intrrupt one's way; br I walked by my head kept high br Counting the stars of the sky; br Never cared to look down br On the path which I walked by. br br Ah! Trapped at last in the pit br That lay just middle of the path, br I was taken by surprise br By the deception of the path; br For mistakes I had made many br Which left me desolate-in agony. br br God, give me a chance, i pray: br Never again at cross road br Will I stand and make wrong choise, br For cross roads can be dangerous br Where it leads where? No one knows.
