On the way to the memorial br For a wonderful teacher, br I took time to notice br The daffodil’s blooming, br The robins playing in a puddle, br The cherry tree blossoming with beautiful pink flowers. br I remembered back to the time br My kids and I br Walked that same route br When they were young, br And I remembered us seeing br Cats and butterflies, br Seeing dogs and even a little horse; br I remembered life, not death br And I think he br Would have liked it that way.
