The darkness hides my tears, br It swallows me whole, and spits me out into an unknown world, br I hide behind it because I know what it does, br It makes me invisible, br My heart a cold stone, br I wait for the fire to warm me, br And i wait for it to hold me in it's arms, br I become alone once more when I know it won't come br I shed the tears that everyone was afraid to, br I feel the pain that everyone has forgotten, br I try to push it all away, br Only to have it come back full force, br I cringe in the shadow of darkness, br Yet i don't leave, br There is no place for me to call home, br No one for me to wrap my arms around, br I am alone in my deserted sea, br The only thing that keeps me here is the darkness, br Never letting go of it's choke hold on me.
