David Lessard - Time passages...

There was a time in my life, br when I could run forever; br when I could work all day, br at my perceived endeavor. br br But that time has passed away, br I'm content that it's expired; br now I do the little things, br that my heart's inspired. br br A walk, a hike, a ramble, br viewing scenes as they roll by; br watch clouds that chase the sun, br in that inverted dome, called sky. br br Today, it was a roadrunner, br that scurried in my sight; br that stayed fifty yards ahead, br unconcerned about its plight. br br He finally wandered off, br made his own trail in the grass; br now a fleeting image, br soon it too, will pass.
