JAMES T. ADAIR - So Many Critics Are F.O.S.

So many critics are F.O.S. br so much so they can hardly sit br Some are just so full of it br Hope they don't step in it br br They can dazzle you with 'fact' br As if they have put together an act br One devoid of sensibility or tact br More like some Satanic pact br br Some pretend they are the world's greatest poet br They criticize the young and flaunt their vocabulary br Not realizing their verbosity or the hipocricy br and if you're younger then them, they'll let you know it br br Others sit with their smoking pipes and tweed caps br angry thaty they never had an opportunity to pick up the 'clap' br and if you should injure their ego with a slap br they'll round up your pens and suck out the sap br br I guess what I'm saying is that he critics can be hard br They fashion themselve to have atained the status of an old bard br But really they're just F.O.S. br They get jealous if a newbie happens to have 'it' br br So keep writing your poems br And say what you want or what you feel br The critics are as hard as they are angry br They're impotent and haven't yet learned how to deal! br br They just like to harp and spin your wheel br Convincing you that their credentials are real br They'll dazzle and amaze you with their factual attacks br But they're F.O.S....and that's a fact..Jack! !br br JAMES T.
