Take me to a place where the breeze is warm br and the child in me is reborn br to days of sunny skies after rain br that call to me and I am thrilled again br return me to where the winds wash over me br with their salty breath br that chilled and warmed at the same moment br br The water birds are in flight br and some are darting on shore br they are large and they are small br they are white and they are black and some are gray br silhouettes against the sun filled sky br splash to the shimmering water br in search of quarry unseen to me on shore br br The sun is brilliant with it's regal br and life giving rays br I cannot look into the solar dance br of sky and water br but I know it well and it has not left me today br now only in my mind's eye does it live br br Late in the day the winds swing br with the rhythm of the world br as they travel from the ocean's br far reaches to run fingers br through my hair and carry br earthy smells to my doorstep br br The salt, the soil, breeze and aroma br and the life past and the life present br are lifelong memories in me br and I am a part of them br I am reborn and refreshed br when they are rememberedbr br Joseph Whitebr br
