The Book of Skulls is dropped by Skeletron. br br The best Modifier The Book of Skulls can acquire is Mythical. br br Notes: br Before 1.2.3 update the skull can pierce 3 enemies and hit a fourth, and hitting the same enemy multiple times does not count towards the 3 pierce limit. br br After 1.2.3 update the skull can pierce up to 3 hits (no fourth hit), but same enemy multiple times does count towards the 3 pierce limit. The mana cost increased from 12 to 22, making it the second highest mana cost in this game even in hardmode(Venom Staff is the highest with a 25 mana cost). br br Tips: br Due to its high damage and piercing ability, the Book of Skulls remains a viable weapon through early Hardmode. br br The skulls' decent knockback and slow speed means that certain enemies can be "juggled" by a skull, meaning that they can be hit, knocked back, and then hit again by the same skull multiple times before the skull moves out of range of the target. This mechanic can be used well while in the dungeon due to the close quarters.
