Guy Richard Baldwin - Mother Earth

Guy Richard Baldwin - Mother Earth

Sweet mother br For you i weep br And wonder how it is br That in our beds at night br We so soundly sleep br br For all you so readily give br We, ever want more br Turning sacred ancient forrests br Your very lungs br Into open weeping sore br br Where once great fish teeming br River flowed br Now poisoned water br Tells the tale br Of fools gold br br And of protective shawl br You placed so tenderly over us br We rip and tear br Without a thought br As we belch out our polluted air br br And for all this, just how easily br It seems br We absolve ourselves br of any blame br When we should all hang our heads in shame.
