Marea Johnson - Sanity Calling

Marea Johnson - Sanity Calling

Sanity beckoning me br to reside within br But a mind too riddled br with sickness br Renders me unable br to play host. br br Sanity inviting me br to attend its party br But a soul too littered br with debris of past hurts br Has disabled me br from attending- br even fashionably late. br br Sanity waiting for me br behind a door br that cannot be answered. br Pleading with me br to at least look outside br the window before I decline. br br I try to shout br from the other side br That it isn't me br who makes these choices br But my keeper, br whose name is Madness. br br Who refuses br to let Sanity visit, br even if only for a moment. br I cannot scale its walls br any more than you can. br But thank you for thinking of me.
