She stands waiting, cold and lone br Face painted, body half covered br Aged beyond, her tender years br br Gone from her face, the innocents br Lost without a trace, cold and alone br Thin and weak, she shivers with fear br br No more child hood shoes, for her to lace br Red heels upon her feet, she stands to wait br City lights shine, to see her tear stained face br br Now hungry on a street corner, she waits br A tender thirteen, just barely a woman br Her girlish smile, a night's painted face br br Cars slowly roll by, windows down br Circles the block, they come to a stop br A face barely lit, her next trick br br Car door opens, in the seat she hops br Pushing away her fear, he seem nice enough br How much for the night, she speak her price br br But nice he's not; he likes to think he's tough br Pains the game he played, he loves it rough br She fights for her life, while he beats br br Morning comes, eyes swollen shut, taste of blood br In a ally she laid batter and bruised, barely alive, br Discarded like a night's trash, she can not move br br Painted face she paid the highest price, br She rolled the dice, played the game br And almost lost her precious lifebr br DAUGHTER OF A CRACKED MINDbr br
