Anna Andrews - He Still Lives On

Anna Andrews - He Still Lives On

He took me beneath his wing br Took me in as his own, br Stood beside me often br When I was standing alone. br br He rode with a hundred soldiers br And stood with gentleman, br He shone like silver charms br And humoured like a comedian. br br He sat with great knowledge br Like those held in binds, br His mind was overwhelming br As you hear it unwind. br br The greatest gift he gave br Was the goodness of his heart br No issue was too small br To place upon his cart. br br When he walked with pride br A great man was he br But he did not like to walk br For all those to see. br br Now sadly the tears fall br From the eyes that weep for him, br As he walks a path for angels br Embracing the lords hymn br br I cannot face farewell br For it’s too final for me, br I believe he's still living br And holding my memory. br br br © Copyright Anna Andrews 2010 br br R.I.
