Priya Patel - Fish Wrap

Twiddling my chopsticks br Unsure what to do br Glancing around br Others look nervous too br br Here it comes now br Five pieces in all br Tightly wrapped raw fish br Did I just see something crawl? br br No of course I didn't br Ok here I go br Sweat beads on my forehead br Does my nervousness show? br br Small piece of ginger br And some wasabe paste too br I put it all together br Ok now what do I do? br br I took a piece between chopsticks br It was a colorful site br Whites, greens and some pinks br Looked like a culinary delight br br I closed my eyes tightly br And sank my teeth in the roll br It started off salty br But then the wasabe took control br br The veggies were crunchy br You could hear as I bit through br I could hardly taste the fish br The ginger was flavorful too br br The ginger and wasabe br Gave the sushi a kick br The medley of textures br Made this a unique pick br br I'm not a fan of seafood br Let alone eating it raw br In fact I'm trying to be kind br And I'm actually in awe br br Shocked I mean br At the things people eat br Raw fish wrapped in seaweed br What's wrong with real meat br br Octopus, eels, br and sea urchins too br This is so not for me br I'll save the rest for youbr br Priya Patelbr br
