Calsey Wauters - the pond

the pond. april 16,2011. br the pond. br br i go there everyday, br sit on the rock and pray. br i dip my feet into the water, br the barrier of my feelings wanting to falter. br a frog croaks, br sitting on a lilypad. br the sun's rays hit the pond, br a glimmering rainbow shining. br i swish my feet, br hitting rat-tails and weeds. br in the water, there's a ripple: br a ripple of time. br where time stops in the world. br and i can think. br without anyone telling me what to do. br or how to do it. br or when to do it. br i can be myself. br silence fills the air as i think. br my quiet hours at the pond are cherished. br it's where i go to be alone. br running to the pond, br it's when i can be free. br my feet hit the damp ground running fast. br my hair blows in the wind. br i run past trees and branches, br out onto a grassy field, br through the trees and bushes. br down the pathway i run, br and over the bridge, br past the cottage. br and there i am. br at the pond.
