Riots on our city streets br violence behind closed door br while the rich are getting richer br all the rest are sad and poor. br Young people can't find work br the elderly left on the scrapheap br people are feeling anxious br they struggle to get some sleep. br But that's all the bad news br surely there's some good as well? br this used to be a great country br not a mixture of misery and Hell. br The papers only cover the bad stuff br this is what we all want to read br but this isn't a bad place to live br full of badness, poverty, and greed. br What about the doctors and nurses br who tend the sick in their hospital beds br or all those selfless charity workers br with only good thoughts inside their heads? br People running marathon after marathon br to help someone who is ill and in need br they do it because they're full of compassion br not motivated by lots of money or greed.
