I don't understand br Why you lift your voice or raise your hand br I'm trying to please you br With the things I do br But nothing I do seems to be good enough for you br I sometimes cry at night, it's true br Because I know it would hurt you to see me cry br But then again you seem to be blind to how hard I try br You say that I'm not trying hard enough to be part of our family br That my very best is just done crumily br I don't mean to disapoint you br I don't mean to make you sad by the things I do br When all I want is to make you smile br For you to say you're proud of me every once in awhile br But I guess my best isn't enough br Guess I'm going to have to try different stuff br Try to do diferent things br Try to stretch my unused wings br Someday I want to make you proud br And to not do things that will cause you to yell at me so loudbr br Carla Kittsbr br
