Windsor Guadalupe Jr - Look At Soliloquy!

Look at soliloquy: br Describe to me, its features br Is it a road of gleaming marble? br Perhaps not, as I frolicked under the Sun, br It felt as if the earth glowers beneath my feet br br Look at soliloquy: br If one dare take a picture of it, br Is it a picture of a dull revelry? br Perhaps not, as I drank wine and dined, br It feels as if somebody had died br br Look at soliloquy: br Is it a great perhaps on an aeroplane? br Where one surmises that a foreign country, br Would treat one fairly with lavish feasts and people? br I think not – the soul is obscured and faces are blurry br br Look at soliloquy: br Is it the leisure in front of the sea? br Where all the waves crash and the dunes lay subtly, br The seagulls hover calmly, the Sun shines blatantly – br No – it feels as if an iron of fragmented memories br br Look at soliloquy: br Is it to marvel at every petty thing? br And see the beauty in every wretched being? br I think not – mendacity, this is not for me! br I see the world as a cell, with no cell mate br br Look at soliloquy: br Compare yourself beside a jovial woman, br Where her lacquer shines ardently under the Sun br Now, tell me, what do you feel juxtaposed to a sprightly one? br If I were you, I’d feel as if a shabby, submerged swan br br Look at soliloquy: br Between the lines of this poem, at the entrée of a reception, br At the notes of a song, or the bitter taste of every halted inception br Now tell me, what is to smile about in this world? br Tell me, with sincerity – and do not dare fumble in speech!br br Windsor Guadalupe Jrbr br
