Bharat Mehru - O tree, farewell!

Bharat Mehru - O tree, farewell!

O tree! br you were standing br on a piece of land br without harming anyone br swinging your small but br lovely leaves br when the last I met you br under your soothing shade br baby birds were chirping br on your twigs you had been br a hopeful destination br to tired mother-wings br dear tree! br you reminded me br many the tales of br ancient Ashrams br and holy Gurus br teaching pupils br under trees alike you br I imagined of br lovers having nice time br in full moon nights br under your shade br and imagined of the moon br peeping through your br dense branches br But I'm sorry Friend br all that ended up br with your demise br yeah, you have br been killed, dear as you know br A man having an iron paw br and a flag of development br in another paw br has uprooted you br now you are lying br on the ground br the baby birds are br in the sands, br mother birds are br hovering around br with restless cries br and all the teachings of br holy Gurus seems to be br pressed down under br a heavy log br now br the iron paw is busy br filling your place br by erecting br a concrete pillar.
