Neela Nath - I Am A Boat

Neela Nath - I Am A Boat

Lonely and aimlessly in the vacuum br Of time I look for the gap, br between land and sea. br Amidst water and sowing sound br I hear the wailing of the folded days. br The smell of the fathomless sea, of moss br weed, whales and fish get on my nerves. br Alone with my fevered brain, I count br My countless days, a sojourn thus br Turns voyage as atrocious as your love, br Which I never gained but you enacted br The drama of gifting me! br Lone words swim in the lone marine water br without bubbles pushing me to the shore! br The combustible heat of the sun, br and the mellowed ray of the moon br play ragas Dipak and Malhar! br The ships like seeds float on the br water, never to be anchored. br At night their flickering lights br haunt me as the bridge to another world. br The sky both of day and night, br Writes Billet-doux for an unrequited love. br Allures me of never-get-it space.
