William Blake Beckett - Remember me

William Blake Beckett - Remember me

Remember me br But do not weep br As you approach br My own grave stone. br br For once I lived br and though feared death br Still wrote this dirge br That swims your head. br br And though I lay br Below your feet br I am so glad br That we could meet. br br That I may speak br As dead men do br Though silently br Right next to you. br br And so with these br My final words br I hope that you br Can tell the world br br That I once lived br And thought and played br And worried of br My final days br br And found no hope br And found no peace br So found no point br To just deceive br br But rather say br That though I'm gone br I beg of you br To sing my song br br So I may rest br Though not in peace br That someone does br Remember me.
