Lynne FincherSpringarden - Resplendent Realms

The time has come br The Green Man said br A day of reckoning br To count the flowers br By the sea br And trace the foot steps br Of the Queen br br The Prince has caused a horrid rift br The Queen she fled in fear br And Natures gifts were set a drift br Those gifts the Queen held dear br br The Joker caught a bird in flight br And kept her captive for the night br He gave her such a fitful fright br Shattered by her earth bound plight br She flew away beyond his sight br br Then midst the garden, fairies danced br They sang with joyful voices br But Mortal Man hast cast his fate br And as the spirits contemplate br His shallow rooted choices br br The wind it howled br And dark clouds loomed br The Light above br Replaced by gloom br As He became a living tomb. br br Now if you see a stranger br Cross your path one day br Listen for the Green Man br To what he has to say br Follow gentle wisdom br And you'll never go a stray br br Be sure to plant your garden br With cabbages and kale. br In your best endeavors br Always will you sail. br br Listen to the thunder br Of primordial hail. br As you count the crystals br You shall never fail br br Through the waves of time br Though lost we have become br Onward shall we travel br And never will succumb br br Though darkness closes in br Never shall we mourn br The moments of eternity br Are but the sacred circuitry br Unharmed within the storm. br br One day our mortal eyes will see br And mortal ears discern br The angels will rejoice to know br That mortal man has learned. br br Upon this earth there's none so dear br As messengers on high. br They cast out all our pain and fear br And let us know that God is near. br And on the wings of loving thoughts br Our Minds and Souls will fly.
