Elbert Matt Loubser - *The Poetry of Light

An evening sun, setting in its fiery hue br Is welcomed by the earthly peaks br And becomes cradled in the bosom br Of the land before the night br Where the heavens close their eyes br As slowly and un hastened as the turning of the sun br And shows the mysteries of the skies br Which exist as the deepest waters; br Silent, dark and vast br Framed by fine points of heavenly candles br Lost within the ever stretching demesne br Which is but the pupil of the Lord br br Turn to the East, my friend br Where the heavens start to awake br A great wind from a mighty whisper br Stills the flames of the manifold fires br And it echoes throughout the heart of the world br Even unto the bird's song br A prelude composed by their toil br To a new world of banished shadows br br The peaks are crowned with majesty br A piercing light, a fire anew br That brings with it the image of the waters br Flowing calm, the blue iris of Him br Moves into view and over us br Widespread wings of enveloping warmth br Piercing even through our deepest core br A soft serenade of eternal beauty br Which flows through us, the stream of life br And strengthens our very being br As does the coals a furnace br br The morning sun rises br From the peaks across the world br The light that knows no fear br But caresses the landscape as a warm hand over silken grounds br Listen carefully to its melody br The overture to tomorrowbr br Elbert Matt Loubserbr br
