One week into their strike, French rail workers have clashed with riot police outside the National Assembly and occupied train tracks. They're up in arms over reform plans ahead of a Europe-wide opening of rail traffic to competition in 2019. Many of those striking voted for Hollande in 2012. But many more French people are against the walkout. Will an unpopular left-wing president institute the market reforms his conservative predecessor could not?
