Jay Decenella - Scarlet-Stabbed Sky

Jay Decenella - Scarlet-Stabbed Sky

It is a rare hour before darkness br When water, air and clouds merge br To become one indivisible br br Thin film of scarlet-stabbed space br Where I see neither sea nor sky, br Only a firmament of fine ripples br br Indistinguishable from each other. br Tremulous within the bounds of horizon, br And only the dim scuds of stratus clouds br br Spoil its rubicund face, br Or specks of islets br Dent the vermilion shade of water. br br All the world is afterward concealed.
