Edwina Reizer - Pegasus

Edwina Reizer - Pegasus

Oh the beautiful white winged horse br Is an imaginary one of course. br But the thought that a creature of folklore br Could fly through the air gives rise br To a picture I see with my eyes br Of a spectacular sight to see. br br Moving with a muscled action br With a wingspan to catch the air br Would look down on all the horses br And hope that they’d be where br They all would fly together br And know they all were free. br br Pegasus, you’re a figment br Of an artist’s picture to paint, br Flying with wild abandon br On a canvas with no restraint. br br The white of your sheen exquisite br Against a background of blue, br The Greek mythologists were wondrous br When they created you.
