Waiting in the time before slumber arrives, our minds try to br make us think we're tired. br br Filling it with thoughts of sleep, trying to make us feel that br our eyes are closing. br br It not being quite true, looking around the room, noticing the br nodding of our head as it tries to lie down upon our arm as br it's pillow. br br Dancing shadows throw their images upon the walls of our mind br inside, glaring out upon all who say that sleep is blind. br br How can it be, when all dreams are sublime and kept hidden away br in drawers of nighttime play? br br Daring to pull away, lie down, and fall fast asleep, slumber br quickly overtakes our mind.br br RoseAnn V.
