Into Words by Kenny Davis br br With the privilege of knowing you br I have been cursed with a curse br Because all that I feel for you br I find hard to put it into words br br When I want to say something on how I feel br The verbal expression is difficult to find br But it is that unspeakable love I’m telling you br That I can’t seem to deny br br My love for you, beyond understanding br Expressing with words is not enough br Worth more than giving you the world br Other riches and material stuff br br If actions speak louder than words br Why is it the words we’re looking to hear? br “I love you! ” “I need you! ” br “You are my heart forever, my dear.” br br It is said, “More can be said with silence than with speaking.” br Then what else is there left to be said? br Do I tell her, “Your eyes, your smile, your walk, your talk…..” br “……..My heart skips a beat, and takes me out of breath.” br br How do I express to her in words br Without the slightest effort of speaking br Do I say that, “She sealed the cracks of a once broken heart….” br “…..causing my love for her to overflow, instead of leaking.” br br What kind of words, phrases, or lines do I use… br In order to get the point of my love for her across? br Do I say that, “I praise God that he led me to find her…” br “Because without her, I am lost.” br br How do I use these letters and markings… br …to deliver the love for her I need to express? br That, “I love, honor, treasure, and cherish you.” br “This I vow, promise, and shamelessly confess.” br br How do I translate my love for her br When words are all I have br Do I say that, “While my words might fade away…” br “…my love for her is sure to last.” br This is indeed the dilemma I face br The troubling puzzle that I have come to fear br Hopefully the words and love will transcend br The pages of this poem for her to hear. br br ©March 2011 k.
