While the scene may look peaceful they are still on war footing in this small town in eastern Ukraine, just days after the government announced a one week ceasefire to promote peace.br br (SOUNDBITE) (Russian) PRO-RUSSIAN SEPARATIST WHO SAYS HE CAME TO FIGHT FROM UZBEKISTAN, BAKHTIYAR KAMALOV, SAYING:br br "What ceasefire? What ceasefire? Yesterday they battered us all. They battered us all. I have seen a drone, for the first time in my life I've seen a drone."br br One residents says they have been caught in the crossfire of warring sides.br br (SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) LOCAL RESIDENT, VERA, SAYING:br br "When they jets fly over, we just pray to God: Lord, forgive them and forgive us too. That's what we say."br br As the battle for control of Ukraine's east persists -- a separatist vows to fight to protect civilians.
