Federal Minister of State for Water and Power has said that he cannot promise ‘zero load shedding’ during Eid days. After having failed to fulfill his promise of ‘six-hour’ load shedding during the Holy month of Ramzan, the State Minister now avoids giving a commitment for the occasion of Eid.
Electricity users are already suffering from 12 to 18 hours load shedding and now there will be no relief for Eid as well. Shorat fall has reached 7000 mega watts as the current electricity production is 14,300 mega watts while the demand exceeds 21,300 mega watts of electricity.
