Mare's Nest (2014)

Mare's Nest (2014) br Film by Fred L'Epee and Kenneth Gentry br br In our film we posit the following question: is mankind in this postmodern era falling into a sort of collective madness, for which there may be neither a remedy nor a means of escape? It is an existential question regarding the postmodern condition. If one looks into the contemporary arts and sciences, one will find that this may well be the case. The postmodern condition has been characterized as that of denial (Pinker), shock (Hughes), disorder (Lwoff), chaos (Bloom), dismantling (Bauman), and oblivion (Borges). Do we find ourselves in a world, like it or not, of disarray, disillusionment, even illusion? Does this inevitably lead to internal and external conflicts? We will let each viewer of our film be the judge of that. br br br br CREDIT br br Cinematography br Fred L'Epee br br Script br Kenneth Gentry br br Editing br Fred L'Epee br br Design br Ed Alvarado br br Music soundtrack br Album: "The Gas Heart" br Artist: Surrealist gesture br br Additionnal sounds br 4096plagasulrarexport-5 br 62912BenboncanHeartbeatMono br 156866strairsad-ghost br 170653headphazehorror-sounscape-01 br 32570erhscreaming-indian-brass br 179376stonedbhuge-laser br 148283rmuttoceanwaves-5 br 17726suonhoelements-water-01-underwater br 38544erhrhythm-2-2-own-b7-21 br 34012erhcinematic-deep-bass-rumble br br br br Helicon Films 2014 br Fred L’Epee br Kenneth Gentry br Ed Alvarado br br This work is licensed under Creative Commons. br Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.
