Raj Rajesh - A Mother's Lap

Raj Rajesh - A Mother's Lap

Thousands lie buried in the lap of Mother, br The Mother, who hitherto, sustained her progenies, br Went berserk, for suffocated was She now, br By the tall jungles of concrete and steel. br Desperate was She, for the saplings and the green br Woods to grow in her womb, br But the progenies had desired otherwise. br So, She shook hard the ruthless jungle in deep frustration br And now thousands lie buried deep in her lap. br But filled was She, with remorse br For a Mother is a mother. br Only in her lap, a mother with a child survived br Cried high and loud the infant br But only his mother could hear br And a mother knows what’s best for her son br She fed the baby and fed for three days br But when the milk in her breast got over br Cut did She her veins, so that the infant could survive on her blood. br Yes, the baby survived for rescue came the next day br But the mother had left the world with a bright smile on her face br A smile of great succour br Look how beautiful the Mother is! How beautiful! ….
