Lazarus Knix - Growing up.

Lazarus Knix - Growing up.

My wish is that these tall street poles- br (So marred by time they scarcely glow) br Would regenerate there light, br And re-acquaint themselves with night, br As to reveal this daunting road. br br The first part of my walk was day, br I didn’t need to know a way- br For the sun which wet the sky, br Illuminated each street sign, br In a flowing golden blaze. br br Oh! That time was so far back, br My baby teeth weren’t gone (in fact) , br Until I was whisked away, br To march within a man's brigade- br And struggle just to keep intact. br br We like to call our reason “Light”, br But as for me, I name it “Night”, br For every viewpoint, and decision, br Requires there own uncertain revisions- br In a truly adult life.
