Partial breakthrough in Colombia peace talks

In the ongoing peace talks in Havana, Cuba, the Colombian government and the FARC rebels discussed the work of 2 commissions taking part in the negotiations. They deal, respectively, with the historical origins of the conflict and a new sub-commission comprised of top military officers to discuss a bilateral cease-fire and disarmament of the rebel forces.
