Who would not love to munch on some crunchy, crispy snacks while there's a downpour outside? Monsoon is the time when there's no end to your cravings for warm and spicy flavors. Food blogger Tarika Singh is up with a recipe which is just perfect for this season. It's called onion rings to which Tarika has added her own twist that makes this dish even more delectable. br br Ingredients: br br 1 & 12 cups panko bread crumbs br 2 onions – 250gms br 2 tbsp corn flourcorn starch br 12 cup all purpose flour br 1 cup buttermilk br salt & pepper to taste br paprikachilli flakes (adjust to taste) br br Method: br br To make the batter: br - In a bowl, add the cornflour and the all purpose flour and give it a nice mix. br - Add half of the buttermilk to the flour mixture and whisk it vigorously. br - Add the rest of the buttermilk and whisk it until there are no lumps left. br br For coating: br - Season the Panko bread crumbs with salt, pepper and paprika and mix them well. br br To make the onion rings: br - Cut the onions in a ring shape. (about 12 inch rounds) br - Pre-heat the oven to 220 degrees celcius. br - Line the baking tray with a parchment paper. br - Dip the onion rings in the batter and then coat them with the bread crumbs, using a separate hand. br - Repeat this procedure for the rest of the onion rings and place them on the parchment paper. br - Put the baking tray in the oven for about 15 minutes for the crispy onion rings to bake. br - Halfway through the baking time, rotate the tray and flip the onion rings so that they cook evenly on both the sides. br - The crispy baked onion rings are ready to be served.
