Palestinian experts released a report on Thursday that puts the cost of reconstruction in the Gaza Strip at US$7.8 billion. The Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction, a Palestinian Authority body, estimates that reconstruction will take five years if Israel lifts its blockade, but 20 years if it does not.
