La Roja on the run for UEFA Euro 2016 glory

Madrid, Sep 8 (EFE).- Spain's national team is to take Monday evening a step forward in the UEFA European Championship facing Macedonia's national football team at Ciutat de València. La Roja will fight for its third European Championship in a row throughout a championship in which the team will have to solve its problems in attack. Spain (in the same group as Ukraine, Slovakia, Belarus, Macedonia and Luxembourg) begins a new era in which some of the team's stars have left after this summer's World Cup in Brazil. Xavi Hernández, Carles Puyol, Xabi Alonso or David Villa have said goodbye to what has been a golden team for the past six years. National coach Vicente del Bosque, however, aims to achieve good results with the new players in the squad. Macedonia prepares for a difficult match in which they are to face a team that has beaten them in the past three matches they have played. "We respect Spain as one of the best national football teams in the world.
