Twenty years ago 852 people lost their lives in the Baltic's worst peacetime disaster. The ferry Estonia sank in bad weather and heavy seas on the night of September 28, 1994, as it sailed from the Estonian capital Tallinn to Stockholm. The accident is just one of numerous recent ferry or cruise liner disasters.
