Lohan's theater debut has rough start, Blanchett honored

Lindsay Lohan has received some harsh reviews for her first-ever theater performance. The actress appeared in "Speed-the-Plow" which began previews on London's West End Wednesday (September 25) night. According to various reports, Lohan made it through the first act successfully, but in the second act, had to be fed lines from off stage and supposedly relied on a prop book for script notes. The production is scheduled to run until November 29.br br Cate Blanchett accepted an honorary degree from a Sydney university. The double Oscar-winner was honored by Macquarie University for, what they said, was her extraordinary contribution to the theater and film, philanthropy and the community. Blanchett used her address to praise the importance of the arts.br br Victoria Beckham opened her first store in London on Thursday (September 25). The Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer opened the shop in the city's exclusive Mayfair district.
