Two IS mortar shells were retrieved from Turkish ground after hitting just 50 metres (around 164 feet) away from Ruptly's team filming at the Syrian-Turkish border on Monday.
Ruptly's live crew on the ground, covering ongoing US strikes against the Islamic State (IS) at the Kobane-Ayn al-Arab border, were forced to leave the scene. It is believed that the mortar shells were fired by IS.
There was a heavy Turkish security presence near the border, as hundreds of thousands of Syrian Kurds attempted to flee both IS militants and ongoing US air strikes.
