The 1944 released Chaand, is a love triangle based Hindi film. Murarilal is a musician and works in a theater group owned by Meneka who loves him. But Murarilal doesn't know about this. He decides to go to Bombay for a new future and leave Meneka's theater even if she refuses. When Murarilal reaches Bombay he is thrown out of the job he applied for, as he was late. He starts living on streets but then decides to open a Music School and rents a place at Seth Jwalaprasad's house. He falls in love with his daughter but some misunderstandings are created by Meneka and several incidents took place afterwards.
