The Stories Behind the Tweets - Cuba, Uruguay, Kenya

The Stories Behind the Tweets, hosted by William Parra, seeks to open a window to the world, to get to the bottom of stories larger than 140 characters. In today's program: 1) The story of Hector Manuel, a 19-year old Cuban, who left Cuba with his mother when he was three and a half years old and despite many obstacles, has returned time and time again to the country of his birth; 2) San Gregorio de Polanco, a small town of 3,000 inhabitants in the center of Uruguay, that has become a reference point for muralism in the country, with the whole village becoming an open museum complete with a huge mural painted down the main street and the local population involved in the effort; 3) Kibera, Africa's largest slum, on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya, with 400,000 inhabitants. Its reputation, fed by the press, is of filth and violence. But a more positive imagine is emerging thanks to the Kibera Journal and its founder and editor Douglas Namale.
