Chris Goodridge - Mom

Chris Goodridge - Mom

People always say I'm the spitting image of my father br br This isn't true br br I am the product of my mother and the things she raised me to do br br My father had his chance and he didn't take advantage of it br br It  hurts when people make fun of me br Because I can't play sports br br Because I'm not exactly the avg boy br br Because my father was supposed to teach me these things but instead was out having the time of his life br br I watched my mom my entire life bust her behind to get me the things I needed and wanted in life br br I know it hurt her to see the hurt my father caused me br br br Yet she dealt with it and she did a good job raisin me br br I admit I wish sometimes my father played more of a role in my life br br He claims he's working br br But if he's working send some money to his children br br At least a penny br Something br br It's all fun and games until responsibility enters the picture br br Then he runs br br Thank God for Mom br br She taught me br br How to love br br How to care br br How to forgive br br How to be me br br and she loves me br br So thanks mom for everything br br It used be I was angry at my father for awhile br br I guess that's what kept me in contact with him br br But once I forgave him I let go of that want for a connection br br I stopped calling him, I stopped listening br br And I know two wrongs don't make a right br br But sometimes a I wonder if he's even worth my time any more br br Besides in my mind my mom is my father and mom br br So mom I want you to know that I love you with all my heart br br That's why I feel the urge the cry when your upset br br That's why I feel your pain when your hurt br br I love youbr br Chris Goodridgebr br
