Chilean President Michelle Bachelet met with her German counterpart Angela Merkel on Monday. In a meeting in Berlin, Chile obtained German backing for broadening a free trade agreement with the European Union. Bachelet also indicated that Chile would seek an extradition treaty with the EU.
