Anon ymous - A Poem About the Sandy Hook Shootings

As we sit and complain that our life is unfair br I work too hard, I'm too stressed to care br The actions of a man we say we despise br Today took the souls of innocent lives br br But why does it take despair such as this this br To bring us together in the name of peace br So please save a prayer for the innocent ones br That were taken away by a man with a gun br br While we only bear this burden for a number of weeks br There are the families out there with tears forever on their cheeks br They will never forget their little ones br Who will never see the age of 21 br Who will never again, run, grow and play br They will never forget a second of this day br br So in a number of weeks when Christmas draws near br Save a moment, a thought, or even a tear br For the families that sit with a tree full of presents br And a silence that haunts a house with its presence br No laughter, no playing and no Christmas cheer br No puddings, no stocking and no coal to fear br br Twenty-seven lives taken in a second br Some even so young they weren't even eleven br Rest in peace little angels, may your souls rest in heavenbr br Anon ymousbr br
