A flower falls to the river below br it follows the current moving too slow br over the falls, down to the raging water br the white-capped waves are waiting to slaughter br but the flower sheds a petal none br as it basks in the water under the sun br it catches itself on a rock at shore br it will follow the river current no more br laying in the sun it is in full bloom br but the spectacular beauty will be gone to soon br as darkness casts its shadow on the river br the little lost flower begins to quiver br the beaty it once was has closed to a bud br it lingers on shore stuck in the mud br when morning comes will it still be there br or would it be gone to who knows wherebr br Sharon Ashworthbr br
