Patricia Gale - Random thoughts by a campfire...

Orange, yellow and shades of blue br Dancing within the fire br Clinging to the crackling of the wood br As the stars twinkle in a midnight sky br br The moon has hidden herself amongst the clouds br Not wanted to be seen for the night br Strange how nature is like mortals that cling to this earth br The moon hiding, hearts dancing with fire br br The consumption of the wood as time goes by br Needing more to keep it alive br Ashes fall turning cold unto the ground br Flakes of gray and white all that remains br br Stirred and mixed it still does not ignite br Lying dormant and useless br Till the gardener sees a use br To make the flowers bloom br br From the moment the match is struck br The fire keeps you warm br Then with time and no attention it slowly fades to ashes br Left unattended burning out to dust br br All things need attention br Let not the fire burn out br For the flowers will bloom br But the soul remains coldbr br Patricia Galebr br
