Global Meeting of Popular Movements gives voice to the disenfranchized

The Global Meeting of Popular Movements will be taking place in Rome October 27 through 29 . More than 100 social organizations representing five continents will debate issues such as land, work and shelter. The goal of this meeting called by Pope Francis and attended by Bolivian President Evo Morales is to give voice to the world's indigenous peoples as they fight the capitalistic onslaught that continues to threaten their existence.
