Ken e Hall - The Little Cripple

Ken e Hall - The Little Cripple

Hoppity Hop with a br Stick thin withered leg, br Lucks dice threw the grip br From the feline’s jaw. br br You tiny little wonder bird br Life’s chores must be done, br As cornflakes crunch in well worn teeth br The realty show has begun. br br French windows herald soft green lawn br Merging to lake beyond, br Mullet play the leaping game, br As osprey view the same. br br Natures hand laid the sweeping paddock br Feeding stock bended by, br Gentle hills rise majestic touching br The iced curtained sky. br br Delight fills the pleasure zone br As wiggled morsel seen, br For one steadied leg helps the beak br To pull it from the green. br br Mate’s eyes watch your back br As you fly off to your nest, br For your little chirrup chirrup babes br Nothing but the best. br br The seasons pass and winter ends, br Its spring again and I don’t see br You little wonder bird, br But some paths just have to be br br I know you’ve flown away today br I saw you in the clouds, br I know you won’t fly back again br For angels just sung out loud.
